FAQs

Below are some frequently asked questions. For any further questions, feel free to contact us by phone or email.

Q1.

Fifty years in the translation business! What's the secret to your on-going success?

It's all about having a great team and management: competent administration, experienced translators, conscientious editing, and talented DTP operators who can conceptualize the client's goal. Last but not least, strong customer support and communications.

Q2.

How do you determine the cost of a project?

Service costs are typically based on the number of characters for Japanese-to-English translations, or the number of words for English-to-Japanese translations. For an outline of our pricing methods, see Pricing.

Q3.

Can you accommodate jobs with tight deadlines?

We can, and we do. Generally, we'll draw up a mutually agreeable and realistic deadline according to project size. However, there are situations where a fast turnaround is required, and in such cases, we will take all necessary measures to ensure the deadline is met.

Q4.

How is the confidentiality of a document protected?

As is accepted practice, a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is the first step we take in ensuring confidentiality with our clients. All physical documentation pertaining to a given project is stored securely at the end of each business day. On completion of a project, any remaining documentation is immediately returned to the client, or safely destroyed by us.
We take all possible measures to ensure absolute security. For more details regarding our security management practices, see Strictest Confidentiality.
